As it was getting loaded onto a car hauler for testing in the Midwest, the supercharged 2010 SLP ZL575 Camaro was spotted by contributor Dan Foley outside of the company's headquarters in Toms River, New Jersey.
The car is being unveiled to the general media at the SEMA show in Las Vegas the week of November 2, but here's what we know so far. The car uses a TVS2300 Seres supercharger with a black finish. The four-lobe rotor pack is designed for hgher power and efficiency. Horsepower is rated at 575 for the LS3-powered fifth-gens and 550 for the L99-propelled cars.
All ZL cars will be lowered an inch all around with special progressive rate springs and come with five-spoke redline wheels (20x8-inch front, 20x9 rear) replete with ZL center caps. From a styling standpoint, the ZL cars look meaner than pedestrian F-bodies thanks to a functional heat-extractor hood that's the same weight as the stock hood.
Unlike the factory cars that get decals, you can order the ZL Camaros with painted Rally or hockey stick stripes. Naturally, there are exterior badges on the front fenders and rear decklid so everyone knows what you're driving. You can also replace the stock Bowtie back there is what SLP is calling its Heritage-style SS badge, which looks like it's straight out of the '60 and what should be on there from the factory. Price for a manual-trans Zl575 should be $57,995 (excluding shipping, designation and delivery.
